Whatever the length, the schedule is written down with specific daily targets and reviewed weekly. Vague intentions to study fail; a plan that says one hundred questions across two content areas plus rationale review by a set time succeeds because it is checkable.

The final week and test day
The last week shifts from acquisition to consolidation. Reduce question volume modestly, focus on reviewing your error log and high-yield lists such as lab values, medication classes, delegation rules and safety priorities, and take one final full-length exam no later than three days before testing. Learning something entirely new in the final forty-eight hours rarely pays and often costs sleep.
Sleep and logistics matter more than most candidates accept. Shift your sleep schedule so that you are naturally alert at your test time, confirm the test centre location and required identification, plan travel with a buffer, and prepare clothing in layers. Eat a normal breakfast with protein rather than experimenting.
On the day, plan your breaks in advance and take them even if you feel fine, because accuracy declines before fatigue is consciously noticed. Expect hard questions — the adaptive algorithm targets your ability level, so difficulty is a sign the exam is working.
